Chris Chapman, Licensed Denturist, came to Hood River, OR in 2002 as an associate to Gary Hornbeck. In May 2008 Chris purchased the Denture business.
“I knew this time would come, so I began looking for a competent individual, whom I believed possessed the skills, confidence and friendly personality required for me to turn the business over,” Hornbeck said.

Chapman started as a laboratory technician, with Artistic Denture Center, in Roseburg in 1997. In 1998 he enrolled in George Brown College’s International Denturist Education program in Toronto, allowing him to continue clinical and laboratory training under a licensed denturist. He sat for his Oregon Board of Denture Technology exams in 2001.
“I believe the experience I’ve gained in the last 18 years, in directly treating patients and by associating with professionals who pledge to give the patient the best treatment offered, has been invaluable,”

Chris is a long time resident of Hood River. Chris was born in Arizona, and spent 10 years in Missouri. Having spent 30 years living in Idaho and Oregon, he considers the “Northwest” his home!

Chris is married to his beautiful wife Melanie, and they have 6 adorable children!
Having been raised in rural, small town, farming and logging communities, Chris loves the simple hard working lifestyle that surrounds us here in the Gorge.

Melanie Chapman, Licensed Denturist, a longtime resident of the Gorge, moved to Hood River in 2002. She and her husband have spent the last 18 years raising their 6 children.

In 2014 she decided to further her education. “Education has always been a priority for me. I knew that once my children were in school I’d want to take on a new challenge. I have always enjoyed learning and trying new things.” says Melanie. She enrolled in the American Denturist College in 2014 and has since graduated. Melanie enjoys the rewarding aspects of her profession. She says, “Being able to watch the excitement from my patients after seeing their new smile is what makes me want to go to work every day.”

Melanie enjoys life in the Gorge, along with being a Mom and spending time with her husband and children.
